Entry 3: The Herb We All Know Well

 Hello Dark Passengers,

There's one specific herb we all know well. The one we find in countless different places, but the same feeling we get from it is all the same. We as humans can't seem to get enough of it. One thing we use it in specifically is arguably when people recognize it the most.

Imagine: in a small metal tin, these small, pill-sized tablets are stored in, with a thin sheet of paper separating the small objects from the tin itself. As soon as you open the tin, the aroma hits you. It's such a potent scent. It almost feels like the scent opened up your nostrils a bit more. It feels cool. Then, you pick one of the hard little tablets out of the tin. They're dry, even having a small powder-like substance of the outside of them. Then, as you put the tablet in your mouth, that cool feeling you felt in your nose before, instantly floods throughout your month and throat, sometimes even making your breathing feel a bit colder as well. It's so intense, that it changes how your breath smells as well. Some would even call this feeling refreshing. Some chew the small tablet, and some legit dissolve in their mouth. If you choose to chew it, you'll find it's quite hard. It gets easier to chew as your teeth grind it down into a finer power. And if you let it dissolve it could take minutes. Either way, it leaves a clean, refreshing feeling after.

It's interesting how much a basic plant can used in ways like this, to make us feel such intense feelings, like when consuming one of these small tablets. And it might be even more interesting how recognizable it is to so many people.

Until next tine,

- Tristan
