Entry #2: Schecter Guitars Best Year for Guitar Drops Yet!

 Hello Dark Passengers,

As I'm sure many of us have heard, Schecter Guitar Research have already dropped a handful of guitars this year. And honestly, they're making the rest of the year look very promising. This could be the best year for guitars from Schecter yet!

The Red Dawn series, arguably the most versatile from this year so far, took many of us by surprise. This guitar comes in five different models. The standard scale length 6-string with the sting-through body and bridge, the standard scale length 6-string with an evertune bridge, the baritone 6-string with an evertune bridge, the 7-string with the string through body and bridge, and finally, the 7-sting with an evertune bridge. All models come in a glass black finish, giving them a sleek look. Featuring red accents such as: the binding all the way around the body, neck and head; red Fishman pickups, red-topped push-pull master volume knob, red 5-way switch, red fret in-lays, and the red Schecter logo at the top of the head.

They've also released a couple collaborations with Zack Wylde, mostly known for playing guitar for Ozzy Osborn, and more recently joining Pantera in 2022, one guitar being titled Barbarian and the other Berzerker. These guitars both feature unique body shapes, custom fret in-lays, and a red and black printed front. The Barbarian features a crow and trees image, while the Berzerker features skulls. All of which have string through bodies and bridges.

For those who maybe around fans of the red and black look, Schecter has also released the Electro Resin series. This guitar features two different body shapes: the classic flying-V as well as the Explorer shape. Only the Explorer shape comes in both color options: Transparent blue, which features a string through body and bridge; or in a Gloss Natural finish, which features a Floyd Rose bridge. The Flying-V features the same finish and bridge configuration as the natural finished explorer. All three, however, feature lightning-like crevices filled with resign. The guitars with the natural finish have black resign, while the blue finish features green resign.

Just two months in and already have three amazing released. This is very exciting releases for Schecter fans and guitar lovers everywhere. And it sets high expectations for what's to come the rest of the year!

Until next time,

- Tristan

  1. I like the structure and layout of your blog.I do suggest however that you include information about the pros and cons of the different models and have the blog tuned and written more towards a general audience rather than guitar enthusiasts.

  2. Hey Tristan, loved the post here about these guitars. I'm not the most knowledgeable on electric guitars nor do I even know how to play, but I do have an acoustic fender guitar that I've recently been trying to learn on, but now if I ever get into the electric guitar I know a good brand to go with.
